Safe Playgrounds With Corner Trim

In New York City, playgrounds in low income areas were more likely to pose a safety risk because of poor maintenance. These playgrounds had significantly more rusted equipment, trash, and damaged fall surfaces. The corner trim was also noticeably absent. Subpar playground equipment at cheap prices usually means low quality and unsafe equipment. Would you really want your child playing on such equipment? Wouldn’t you rather provide the safest playground possible for your children? In this case, a slightly higher cost is worth the increased benefits, safety, and peace of mind that higher-end play systems provide.

Many commercial playground equipment suppliers offer updated products that are safer, more durable and more fun for children of all ages. These companies charge extra to ensure that playing is safe and the equipment will not get damaged. Many cheaper playgrounds have wooden supports and beams which can give children splinters. Far safer and more durable are steel supports. The suppliers will also install corner trim onto the play area which can increase durability and absorb any impacts which occur.

Many of the poorer playgrounds have a flooring made from concrete or asphalt which can be unsafe for children. The lack of absorption qualities means that when children fall on this surface they hurt themselves. A flooring which can tackle the weather, hold wheelchairs and pushchairs and be soft enough to fall on is rubber tiling.

Sometimes it is possible to get all the equipment you need because the bigger playground retailers will customize your equipment. Look for a company who will let you mix and match the items you want so you can have a unique play area. The designs should be tailored to provide challenging but safe commercial playground equipment for specific age groups.
